Having had the entertaining chat with a doc on Monday I today received another letter, from a different doc at the practice, asking me to repeat the test that was done on October 29th. This time they are checking the FBC and my haematonic levels, so it looks as though I'm anaemic. Hey-ho. I am going next Wednesday to get them done, that was the first available appointment. Time to start munching watercress and pilchards methinks. DD

Hi DD, I have been following along with your various sagas. Good that they are being so thorough with testing but I hope it's not re-igniting worry for you.

    Best wishes to you,
    Anna

Anna, you are very kind and thanks you. I admit I don't get too worried by anything, mainly because I don't have the energy or the inclination. I know I frighten Mat with my sanguine approach to medical matters  I currently have more pressing urgencies at the moment, like moving house sometime in the next three weeks or so - and 'im indoors being a total twerp. We're both under pressure at the moment but of very different kinds. Onwards and sideways! :) DD

Hope the next bloods are done quickly and efficiently! I never cease to wonder at your determination and courage as you plough through each hurdle.

Ah dibdab, my hurdle-leaping days are long gone so I am perfecting the ploughing-on-thorough approach. Life is co-operating by giving me lots of practice. :)

You are waaaaay wrong on that, Bubba, I am far from being a saint. My view is this: I will repeat the tests then get the results, I can then decide whether to panic and go into meltdown versus just shrugging it off with 'it's all more of the same'. I suspect it will be the latter approach, it usually is. I am far too indolent for more exertion than that. DD

Oh dear, I bet it feels like never ending trips to the vampires. Still, I'm glad the OK blood test was indeed, OK. Fingers crossed for the next ones!
