Hi
I am sorry that I have not been around much lately. I have been supporting my poor Mum who has been through a really traumatic experience which has left her feeling very anxious. And I am also being a listening ear for my sister who has also had a rough time personally recently. This has resulted in me feeling totally wrung out!!
I have had my first half day of my phased return at work today, although there are still lots of Health & Safety issues to iron out yet. It went ok, I guess although I kept how I am feeling to myself as I don`t want to give them any more problems to throw at me!!It was nice to see my colleagues although I didn`t have much time to chat.
I am still having back problems, especially at night, or after sitting for a while. I also have a rather annoying pain from my groin to my knee which is like nerve pain, and is again mainly at night, but hey! who needs sleep?!!
I have 3 more physio sessions booked in to deal with my back, and I am still attending the `water walking` as referred into by physio and finding it better than expected.
I will try to catch up with everyone`s posts, but apologies in advance for any pocket duties missed xx

Welcome back!
No need to apologise, we all have to cope with other stuff too. Hope the return to work goes well.

There is no need to apologise, NB, we all have life things to deal with from time to time (my next lot is rapidly approaching, we're moving house) but it is good to hear from you again. I hope that things are improving for your mum and sister, and that you are looking after yourself as best you can. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Welcome back NB! You don't have to apologies about not being around, family comes 1st! Hope your Mum and sister are getting sorted. Are your work creases getting ironed out? And getting back to work is easier, how are you in yourself? Is your back a little easier after the Physio? Hope your giving yourself some me time so you get your mojo back. Nice to see your name on posts again!0

Hello NB,
You don't need to be sorry, life sounds busy. I do like your physio's terminology; water walking! Can relate to that. Wish you all the best with your return to work. Hope it goes well, take it easy!

Hi
Aah thankyou everyone for your lovely replies. It is always nice to come back on here as there is always a warm welcome.
I have had a bad couple of days , a combination of the cold and my first days at work I guess. I enjoyed going in, albeit only for a few hours each day, on my phased return. I have more hours there this week, so wish me luck!!
I am struggling with my back  , I don`t really know what to do with it! It is stiff, it is in constant spasm, I get sciatic pain down my leg into my knee, and even the skin on my hurts ..... it is a right royal pain!! Literally! I have heat on it all the time, and am pill popping but not sure why i bother.
My Mum has got an appointment to see someone to help her, hopefully, but not until the end of the month, and she has paid for this appointment to try to be seen sooner!! Thank you for your concern about the family. I seem to be the one to off load onto in my family.
I hope everyone is managing to keep warm, it is supposed to freeze again overnight, yuk!
Take care xx
