Dear autoimmunies-- do you get shingles vaccine?

As I contemplate going on anti-TNF's sometime in the next few months, I came across info about shingles vaccine. I know healthy folks don't get this vaccine until later in life, but what about us immuno-challenged types?
I had severe chicken pox when I was forty and don't want to re-visit the virus in any way, shape, or form ever, if possible.

I know I'm supposed to get vaccines before I start anti-TNF's, is this one of those? (I will check with my doctor next visit, of course).

Thank you in advance,
Anna

Thanks Mig. That's settled then, I didn't realise it was a live virus vaccine.

Yup, it is. I was not given some 'crucial' innoculations in my childhood for the same 'live' reason but I cannot remember what they were; I was too young to know or care. And I'm still here. :? DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Shingles vaccine has never been mentioned to me.

I was told it's a no go for us autoimmuners when I went for my flu jab.
