We have just finished week 7 of this brilliant course. All that remains
is a reunion call in 3 or 4 weeks time.
Each week we have discussed health related topics such as healthy eating,
exercise, action planning, pacing, communication and relaxation. Each
session ends with the facilitator delivering a self management tecnique.
All of us have enjoyed the course and have found it very supportive and
friendly.

Thanks for the follow-up info ichabod. It does sound useful.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hello Ichabod, I am so pleased to hear that your group has gone well; yesterday I completed week 2 of my group and that hour flew by. I am finding a great benefit in talking to others 'direct' and I laud AC for this initiative. Yesterday my group covered pain and individual coping mechanisms and, although I knew about the value of breathing exercises, I confess I had forgotten their benefits. It was good to have the reminder, I think we all need reminders from time to time, yes? DD

It is indeed. I confess it's a little strange but also good to speak, in real time, with those in similar boats.

My group is female, including the facilitator. I don't bother too much about gender stuff but I wonder if your group was all male? DD

Mixed, but we all got involved and contributed.
    I found it very intuitive.
