Strange diet

I've been fighting a chesty cold for a couple of weeks. On Monday night I appeared to go down with a bug into the bargain. I was cold/hot and utterly knackered and had no interest in food yesterday so I decided to listen to my body and give it what it wanted. For breakfast it wanted nothing but more sleep but I decided I could have a temperature so paracetamol had to feature. So:
Breakfast - half a cup of tea, half a dry cracker
Elevenses - Cup of tea, other half of cracker
Lunch - cup of tea and marmite sandwich (Haven't had one for years.)
Afternoon - More tea. Grapes
Evening - scrambled egg, bread and butter and two grilled tomatoes
I'm hoping to resume a normal diet today. It's started well with tea and toast. Woo hoo

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I don't think it is so much of a strange diet, as you said Sticky you started listening to your body(marmite sorry, yuk) plenty of fluids and light food, I'm sure we all have strange diets when we are feeling poorly. Here's hoping you are on the up, that is a good start this morning hopefully it will continue, keep warm, hydrated and get well soon..................Marie xxSmile a while and while you smile
smile another smile and soon there
will be miles and miles of smiles
just because you smiled I wish your
day is full of Smiles0 -
When I'm feeling yucky I like plain cream crackers, or a bowl of dry Rice Krispies, both accompanied by cups of tea and glasses of water. As I get better I like poached fish, more tea and water, and maybe a few grapes. You were wise to listen, Sticky, our bodies tell us all sorts of things once we learn to listen to them. I know when I'm truly flaring because all I want is plain Hula Hoops and full-fat coke. I once lost three stone on that diet. :? DD
PS Are you feeling better now? I hope so.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
My Grandma use to say listen to your body when you are ill..not sure why but I always fancy cheese when I am poorly have done since I was little...lately I have been craving bananas though..but I haven't to have them because of a kidney prob  ...hope you feel better soon SW..xxLove

Thanks, everyone. Today was normal in every way. I knew I was really ill yesterday when I refused Mr SW's offer of a glass with my strange meal  Oddly enough, even my 2 week old cold seems to have improved. I'm coughing less.
Craving, Barbara? Is there anything you'd like to share with usIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
