I used to laugh when my dad told me about the stocking with the orange, a comic, a bag of nuts and some marbles or a ball. Now i see how lovely it must have been to receive such gifts and think I might do a stocking of my own for my brood.

I love the norad website, we have it on all Christmas eve so we can see where santa is :santa:

We also always have stockings; my kids are 19, 16 and 9 and the stockings all hang on the banisters outside the bedrooms. I love it, it's all part of the magic of Christmas. I also have been known to put down 'snowy' footprints through the house.
(I'm not sure whether it's for the kids' sake or mine!)

We have done the footprint malarkey here too Ouch!!

And I eat the mince pie and bite the carrot and drink the sherry (I like that bit ;) )

Enjoy yourself - they're are only young for a short time.

Thanks Ron - he's getting closer

    :hoho:

I have the Norad site open on Christmas Eve even though I'm on my own. I think it does us all good to be children again for a while no matter how old we are.
