Hello, charger located at long last!

Thank you all so much for your lovely, kind and generous messages. I've had a very busy ten days and there is no let-up as yet because I want things to be as pleasant as possible for our 'not doing Christmas Christmas day' so to that end I today erected my pre-lit 6' tree but it won't be decorated. I have been unpacking, shoving, swearing, re-homing, losing, finding, laughing, swearing, but most of all grinning like a loon because No.10 is utterly wonderful in terms of its accommodation. I have mastered the washing machine, oven and hob but not (as yet) the dishwasher or the central heating. That is currently being controlled by the thermostat at because its timer doesn't appear to work. Or it could just be me.

On the down side - today I found the iron. Bother. Off to chef. See yas! DD

Wrap it up and use it as a decoration.
So pleased you are in and happy - you so deserve it,to use the modern idiom - and long may it last.

The tiredness is hitting but it is worth it so no moans from me. The boiler stopped working today so I rang our plumber to discover that he was off work after an operation but, bless him, he talked me through what to do (I recognised that the system needed more than a top-up of water) and the result is that the boiler is working. I sat and read the instructions for the umpteenth time and am beginning to make some sense of it. He will come early in the New Year to service it and teach me how it works!

Mr DD had the day off today so he returned to the old place to clear his shed etc. That took two trips. We moved the telly to a better position in the sitting room only to find that we can no longer receive ITV3. He thinks that is because the aerial extension lead we are using is too long so he's off to get a shorter one tomorrow. I have done very little today, I need a rest but hope to resume my efforts tomorrow. He's out in the morning then going to the footy in the afternoon so I will have the day to myself. Bliss. DD

That's a good sort of tiredness when you feel contented. Well done you, fixing the boiler. It was good of the plumber to talk you through it. Men and their sheds, eh. :presents1: Have a good day tomorrow. Don't do too much though.
