I've just had a 'phone call from a delivery driver who is sitting outside my old house. Hmmmmm. I had no idea a delivery was on its way and I have been trying (in vain) to get hold of them to tell them about the move. Co-incidentally I today received a letter from HaH explaining their latest difficulties so I thought I'd ring them to sort out my change of address and delivery: the 'phones are closed due to the 'holidays'. The driver said that he can't ring them either.

I shall be firing off an email. OK, they have a vastly increased workload but surely they should have put better provisions in place, after all their client group is hardly in the best of health. They rang me a week or so after my last delivery in early October telling me I was due another at the end of that month and the dim-witted female at the other end of the line would not listen to my telling her that I had six pens in the fridge. Ye gods. DD

Yup, sorry, I didn't make that clear. They deliver the humira and I was down to one syringe. Now I have five so I'm good for ten weeks. A different company will be delivering the meth in three month-bulk deliveries so that will offer the opportunity for more to go wrong. 8) DD

PS. The delivery chap was called Dan, not Gina.

Funny enough , my delivery from hah was today too . I looked on line to get the time slot and it stated that I wasn't getting a delivery today . Phoned them up and was told ; " yes , you have a delivery today but we can't put a time slot on line as the new delivery company are too unreliable and don't follow a timetable ! Efficient eh ? !

Hi All, I received a letter from them apologising for any delivery problems over the holidays. They hope to be back to normal service soon.

I have to say they have always been good since I have been on humira.

    Take care DD

Also had a driver come nearly an hour and a half earlier than the given slot (no apology/explanation), caught me right on the hop, would've looked it too - driver no doubt thought I'd been woken up by doorbell & had to scramble myself up, the irony being I was awake on & off for half the night 'on pins' as they say, gearing myself to get up at the right time. Had the 'sorry' letter same day, first I'd heard of any problems anyway but it wasn't much use as a tip-off by then. Other than that they've always been fine.

They've been in a mess for some time - I think it was tkachev who received her delivery of humira at 2am at the back end of last year. I am usually informed via email that I have a delivery booked but not a word this time. Email fired but I won't hold me breath for a reply. DD

I've heard HaH have been a nightmare lately with people missing anti TNF injections. I appreciate it must be stressful for them but imagine how stressful it must be to be on a treatment that may not arrive in time!

    Frustrating!

I've been getting my biologicals from HCAH for over a year and did'nt have a problem until I started the latest one. It was a struggle to get someone to supervise the 1st home injection and the delivery arrived before the notice did.
I received a letter from them the other day saying they've had problems and apologising. Rightly so, I had to make about 5 phone calls to organise my injection the week before Christmas.
Hopefully everything will settle down now the new year is in.

This is interesting! I've been waiting for a week for Humira that I should have injected last Tuesday. After a week of unanswered phone calls and daily messages to HaH website I finally got an email address and wrote to them. I got a very abrupt call today, no apology, no interest in the fact I am starting to sieze up and I'm in pain. The man offered to send the Humira next Saturday, almost 2 weeks late, and wasn't the slightest motivated to sent it earlier despite having read my detailed email explaining how the stress and lack of Humira was affecting me. Eventually he offered Thursday so I had to accept that as there was nothing else. So I'll only be 10 days late. It's 4.33am and I haven't slept properly for 6 nights because of this.

I'm in N.Ireland and have been on the HaH delivery list for 4 months. In that time I have received 4 letters from them and 3 of those were apologies. I think that says all I need to know about them. Absolutely useless.

    Sorry this is so long.

Oh dear, Bmac, I am sorry to read your post (and no, it wasn't long). There are parts of the country which are fine and others where it's nothing but chaos and muddle. It must be even more disappointing for you because the humira obviously makes a difference; it doesn't for me but it is keeping my PsA under control and I must be grateful for that. I hope it arrives when it is due (I had two deliveries arranged that never made it onto the manifest  ) so please let us know the outcome. I wish you well. DD

Thanks for your reply. I should add that I have PsA, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Chostochondritis so breathing has been painful for a few days now, along with all the other aches I thought were fairly well under control. Also, psoriasis has broken out on my face, the first psoriasis I've had for 7 years. That will take a lot of time to go away. I explained all this to HaH but they simply don't care. The bottom line is that HaH is a business so the only value anyone has is the amount of money HaH get for dealing with them, no more, but seemingly, a lot less.

I'll stop whining now. I've written to the 'Quality Control Team' by snail mail because their email address 'does not exist', according to the message I got from GMail...that's a bit ironic. (I did check it 4 times)

As I don't have a condition that needs HAH to deliver meds to me, I would just like to sympathise to all you people that have had the misfortune to NOT have received their medications on time, for every ones sake I hope they get their for want of a better word muddle sorted out soon xx

This is very alarming to hear, I also have AS so can totally related to the painful chest/ribs area which has a chain reaction affect causing extra fatigue, lack of sleep etc.

What worries me is that I'm going to need to rely on this company soon when I start my new medication, they were very reliable, polite and always on time when I used them for 5 years (1 year ago I changed to an IV medication) I would say that your case is probably isolated but there seems to be more and more horror stories coming on this forum and other ones about HaH. I hope the NHS is in talks with them and giving them a kick up the backside!

Happy to report that my HaH metoject delivery arrived promptly today and a week early in response to my request for a change of delivery day. Just thought I'd share a good result :) . I was so pleased I gave the delivery driver a freshly baked Welsh Cake-still warm and very yummy- he was grateful......guess it made a change from a nagging  .

On the other hand I emailed them 3 weeks ago to enquire about the date change and never got a response-it was a lucky chance that they rang to confirm the normal time and date and I could ask about the change.

Well, I gave Healthcare at Home a good kicking on here so it's only fair that I give an update.

Firstly, 2 months' supply of Humira arrived today, as arranged.

Secondly, I got a response to the letter I sent yesterday. A gentleman called Steve phoned me and apoligised unreservedly for the situation I was put in and didn't try to qualify the apology at all. I explained that there was no point in me shouting at him because that wasn't going to address any issues but , instead, asked how we could prevent this happening again. I explained that I was now concerned that my future deliveries of Humira would be late and that I didn't know if I should take the injection I just received now, and upset my medication regime, or wait until next Tuesday to keep the regime intact. Steve told me he would speck to a pharmacist and call me back in 5 minutes. Two minutes later he called back and advised me to take the injection and move my injection day to a Thursday until I could discuss the change with my rheumatologist. He told me he was going to monitor my deliveries himself for the next few months and gave me a personal phone number that I could call any time I have, or foresee, a problem.

I'm happy with that outcome and more confident now.

It was getting couriered down because they hadn't turned up to a pre-arranged delivery and I had run out of injections but was expecting it to arrive in the day time. When they failed to arrive I thought it was another mess up. Got a phone call at 3 am because they couldn't find our house (they were only up the road but our address doesn't show o satnavs).
. In a way I was glad to receive the call because someone hammering on my door at 3 am would have freaked me out.

What has happened to HaH. I have been waiting 3 weeks for my delivery with no injections remaining. I have spoken to 3 different people on 3 occasions about my delivery date which is today. After waiting for 5 hours, I thought I'd check my eta. 20 minutes on hold later, no delivery has gone out for me today!!!! I'm pretty much stuck now as I travel next Wednesday for 3 months and need to take injections with me. They have assured me they will delivery on Tuesday but I just don't trust them.

Oh Mike, that is scandalous. Maybe we should move to live nearer Ichabod because he has been untroubled by the nonsense we are facing. I have two injections left, I wonder if I will hear from them soon? One thing's for sure - I won't bother getting in touch. DD

Just to report after my problems earlier in 2014 with HaH my delivery arrived last week in full and on time so perhaps they are sorting themselves out at last. :D

My problem now is that I've just received a letter to say my supplier is changing from HaH to Pharmaxo ..................this nearly happened last year and is where all the complications arose. Hey-ho here we go again!

I feel so sorry for the people who are on the other end of the phone.

I have no Enbrel left and gave my nurse a call. She told me that she'd had so many calls from her patients that the best solution she had found was for her to fire off an email to H@H which she duly did, bless her :)

I had a phonecall at 6.p.m. yesterday from H@H saying that they would deliver on Wednesday of next week.

The gentleman who called addressed me as Mrs Cherrill 3 times. That is my given name but not my surname :?

I think that H@H could soon lose their contract. All of us on biologics can miss their doses as we know, preparatory to and post surgery but the cancer and heart patients cannot
