Has anyone else had a steroid injection into the muscle in the buttock?
If yes, how long roughly before you got pain relief from it?
Thanks x

They work for me pretty quickly - usually within 24 hours but, as you can see, they don't work for everyone. I'm sorry. How are you today? If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Morning - I had one on Monday and it has helped me this week. Not pain free everyday but I do feel it has helped. I rested for the rest of the day and also the following day I did not do too much as the nurse said resting helps it to say within the muscle. Good luck0

Hmmmm, seems alot of the time they don't seem to be much help then!
and yes Mike, all i got so far was a day of feeling like i'd been punched very hard in the bum! lol
I will see how it goes next week. x0 -
I've had several and they do help for me. I can usually find a difference in a couple of days.
I've also had some into joints which have helped a bit but not as much as I'd thought and the locan anesthetic they inject is stingy and painful at times too. Worst was the one into my knuckles. I would'nt have those ones again.0 -
I've had several over the years, usually take upto a week to kick in completely, and I usually get 6 weeks or so of relief from them.
Hope it works for you, but give it time to work.
