Metroxate Effects

Hi all had RA about 5 years then in April 2012 got diagnosed with Sarcoidosis as well. Was taken of hydro and sulphasalzine and been on prednisone since then started to get major RA flare up 4 months ago as was tapering off prednisone. Put on Methotroxate few weeks back just at 10mg per week with folic acid 5mg once week as well due to go up on Mx to 15mg and taper right off prendisone.

Getting these very strange feeling after day at work slightly feint and like a sort of low level ache over my body and then at night really restless feeling.

Any thoughts everyone?

I have been on Meth for 4 years since I was diagnosed with RA.

I take a folic acid the day after and 2 days after that, this does help reduce the side effects?

What time of day do you take the Meth? I usually take mine at night before I go to bed, that way the tiredness doesn't affect me as much.

I don't have any problems with my meth. If you think your symptoms might be due to it you should ring your rheumatology helpline for advice. Have you stopped the pred altogether now?
