subchondral cysts

Hi, does anyone have experience of these cysts? I have definitely got "something" in my distal femur which showed up on my x ray. The consultancy was quizzing me about my family history of OA (mum developed it in her 30s)just been googling and it says these type of cysts can be linked to early OA. I really hope it is as they sound benign and I don't want to think about the other options!oh well,the next mri will no doubt tell me. It's just not easy worrying about the possibility of "other" causes, combined with dealing with constant pain plus depressed about being signed off work for another 2 months!!!things can surely only get better

I know nothing about them but I'd try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know. The word 'cyst' does often raise concerns but most (I think) are harmless. Mr SW currently has a Bakers' cyst on his knee. It's annoying. End of. (So's he )
