    Hello Filly,
Thank you for your posting. I’m sorry to learn you have arthritis in your shoulder which is affecting your whole arm. Steroid injections can work for some people, but not everyone, and sadly the benefits can be short-lived. You may find our booklets on coping with pain and exercise helpful at: http://www.arthritiscare.org.uk/PublicationsandResources/Listedbytype/Booklets. You may also find Arthritis Research’s booklet on shoulder pain useful. You can download this from their website at: http://www.arthritisresearchuk.org/arthritis-information/conditions/shoulder-pain.aspx
It is worthwhile seeking advice and guidance on completing benefit forms from a welfare rights advisor, your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) can help. You can do a postcode search for your nearest CAB at their website: http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/index/getadvice.htm
Benefits is not our specialism but arthritis is. You may find it helpful to call us here on the freephone confidential helpline to talk things through on 0808 800 4050 (10am-4pm weekdays).
I hope this information is useful.
    Kind regards,
    Ümral

If you get tingling in your arm or it goes dead and then you have pins and needles tell your doctor,
I had to have surgery (decompression) and now two years await a new joint
