Hi,
I have an appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon on Friday.
It will be 6 weeks post THR to the day........that is really why the appointment was made.
I'm hoping that he will have a look at this fracture {Greater Trochantar bone} because when I was discharged from hospital with this they just said keep on top of the pain and it will heal itself  nothing we can do.
It will be almost 2 weeks on Friday when I see him since that happened.
I must sort out some questions about that for Fri not just the THR.......I suppose he must know about it but I didn't see him the 3 days I was in hospital. :?
Love
Hileena :D

    Hi Hileena,

Good luck for Friday. I hope everything goes well for you and you will get answers about the fracture as well as how your new hip is doing :)

I have written some more questions for my surgeon when I see him tomorrow. I know that if I don't I will leave and then think of something on the way home

    Take care

Happy to provide pocket duties for Friday. Make sure we all land in on your good side... Don't want extra weight on your fracture side  ....

Hope it goes well and you have quality communication with the doctor.

    Hi Sarah
We are all like that......if we don't write out notes we come out thinking "why didn't we ask that"?????
He might answer a lot of them without you asking them but its nice to know you have them there.

I'll be in your pocket too- hope it's a positive appointment-maybe you could put your question list in the other pocket so we don't crush it!

    Hi Deb
Good idea.....I hadn't thought about that
My left side is my sore side so if you can try and get into the right pocket that would help

I have been known to write down my questions and hand them to my rheumy then he works his way through the answers :? I have to say he's delightful, patient and very thorough.

    Thank you everyone
    I will post later.
My main worry now is that the past few days my feet {in particular the operated leg} has swollen a lot
it could be Oedema but on the other hand....me being me.......thinks the worse.....is it DVT ?
When I went back in again for the fracture the nurse said you don't need these on anymore and took the teds off
