RESULTS OF EYE APPOINTMENT

Hi Everyone
Well....spent a long time in the hospital today....mostly waiting
At the beginning of the eye problems it was just excess tears {bad enough} but gradually it has got worse. My eyes are very inflamed around them.....also very crusty and that's not just when I waken up......its most of the day :?
Last visit to the hospital I was given some steroid ointment and used it but couldn't make the next appointment because of my THR
In between times I had gone to the GP and he didn't want to prescribe steroids again but said there was a definite infection and gave me an antibiotic.
At the hospital they said that antibiotic should be good for my eyes but would take some time to work and I needed a larger dose so its been doubled. I will have an appointment {through the post} for 6 weeks time. He says one of the things that is wrong is that my tear ducts are pointing up and out instead of inwards and that's why the tears. He also says I probably need an eyelid tuck??? but wants to leave it until they are less inflamed.
So that's it....not sure that I'm any the wiser really
Love

Hi Barbara
Yes he seems to know more than the others {except that he was a second opinion} I'll stick with the antibiotics and hope that it helps a bit......at least enough to do this eyelid tuck {or whatever??} anything will be welcome

Hi Hilleena, Hope the increased antibiotics do make a difference for you so you can have the eye lid tuck. Does that mean you will have younger looking eyes?0

Hileena that would be a good side effect ..I could do with a tummy tuck I did ask when they were doing my hip..but it was to far to stretch it...
I still have everything crossed for the ABs working for you..xx
