Hi folks. Sorry I've not been around to support everyone. Hopefully it's implied lol.
I am currently sat in the waiting room at the David Beevers Unit in Jimmy's Leeds.
I'm having radio lesion therapy for the second time. They are burning off the four nerves in my lower spine. I had it done about 18 months ago. Was a nasty procedure. I believe they didn't use enough local anaesthetic. It worked for my back pain 100% for a full year!
so fingers crossed pleased. Lol
Catch you on the other side.

Hi Tony,
Good to hear from you. Great news that this may help you.
It's always the worst bit, isn't it? Hanging around, aimlessly waiting...
Hopefully this will prove to be as effective for you this time as it was before.
Take care,
GraceBTurn a negative into a positive!0 -
Thank you thank you thank you
Barbara, you must mention this to your pain clinic hun. It is really worth looming into.
As for my paper knicker soakage... lol
it was not too bad considering lol
I'm still resting in bed. The local has obviously worn off now. So I'm a tad tender in the lumbar region. Have added an extra 25mcg fentanyl patch to my usual 50mcg.
so far it's still not touched the pain and I'm really struggling to get comfortable at all.
I hope that you are all alright. .
Catch you all soon.Me-Tony

I hope that things are easier today - I remember the feeling in my knees when the local wore off after the aspiration-and-steroid injections - utterly horrid. Keep resting mate, we want these to work, yes? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hope the procedure does it's magic for you and helps control the pain. I used to have lignocaine infusions every six weeks, had to spend the day on the ward and had a cannula in the top of my hand and had lignocaine pumped into me which helped me but one time I took a turn went light headed and the consultant thought it was starting to effect my Epilepsy so it was stopped. My G.P has suggested I see a pain clinic again in case there is something new I could try, I haven't been referred yet. You rest up for a couple of days my friend and let it get to the places it needs to so hopefully you will be bouncing about!0

Thank you girls. .
I got up and in the shower this lunchtime. We have a wetroom shower with a seat so I just sat for a while lol.
I got dressed and went to pick Janet up from work. Was a bit uncomfortable sitting in the car but I know it'll ease. .
Hope everyone is ok.
Bubba.. The infusions sound fun  not lol.
Dr Bush is the top man here as far as I know. I really like him. I've be under his care for about ten years now with one thing and another. .
