Hi my name is Kath and I was born with familier osteochondritis which lead to early on set of osteoarthritis by age three, and leukaemia at 10. I am now in my 50's and appart from my sister and my self (and my late dad) I have never come across anyone with the same diagnosis. Just wondered if their was others out there that could share their experience with me.

Hello Kath, it's nice to meet you but I am sorry you have had to find us. There used to be someone on here with osteochondritis disssecans but she hasn't posted for ages; there's also tjt6768 who has summat similar (plus an auto-immune arthritis) but even though we may not have the same as you we can empathise with the pain, frustrations and distress that these conditions can cause. I have two kinds of arthritis plus fibro and it ain't fun. I expect the forum will be pretty quiet over the Bank Holiday but keep looking in, hopefully more will answer you and you may find some of the threads on here of interest to you. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks everyone for your welcome. I have been a member for years but never posted. Always searched the forums though.
It's not been a hard life for me as I have never really known anything different. With the arthritis starting so young you just have to manage. This I have done. Though it has got harder as I now have very poor mobility.
The hardest part is not being able to do the simple things that you take for granted.
I have tailored my life around my disability and have managed to always do the work that I have enjoyed even if I have had to move on and retrain at different periods of my life. You can't let disability ruin your life. It only changes the paths you take.
