Today at the age of 56, Rik Mayall has died of a suspected heart attack.
He of The young ones and Blackadder among many tv shows.

    A sad day today. Rik brought joy and laughter to me and my whole family for many, many years. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Too soon to go, but lived life well. :(

    So full of life and enjoyed by so many. Far too young to die.

    Saw him Ade a few times live on the bottom show, the best thing they ever did must be Mr Jolly lives next door, classic slap stick, I also remember when I first saw the young ones, I was a bit worse for wear and walked in and turned on the telly and it was the eviction episode, I honestly couldn't believe a) what I was seeing and b) that the BBC would actually air such anarchy, poor old Rik's gone but he will never be forgotten bless him. :(

    Ah yes, I recall those early episodes too. Hilarious, I loved him in Blackadder too. A small part but he stole the show.
