On this day in 1996 we found a wonderful ball of dirty blue fluff in the gutter. ..
It was a beautiful blue kitten.
We named her Cleo.. We had to have her put to sleep in 2011.

She was such a lovable girl. I miss her a great deal. .

    Thank you. .
They both had a wonderful life. Spoilt rotten.
And today is RaRa's birthday. He was born in my friend's shed. His mother was a long haired, pure white stray. She had a litter and we chose him from it. He was all legs and ears lol.

They were both absolutely lovely pets..... They were part of the family. .

Oh Tony I know how hard it is missing your babies, I do miss Bubba a lot still, he was a totally different cat to 'the kids' we have now. I sometimes call Arnie Bubba by mistake. Chloe was a beautiful looking cat and RaRa was a superhero and handsome Bugger! They where lucky to have a fantastic daddy like you. I have to ask, do you think you will have another cat? I never thought I would have another after Bubba but I was lonely in the day and I needed someone to fill my heart. I never thought we would have 2 cats! But they fill my heart with love and I'm so pleased we have them now.

    Thanks Mig and Bubba. .

He really did lead an exciting life eh?
    Lol

Bubba, we promised each other that we wouldn't get another pet after losing those two and we won't. I couldn't go through the heartache again.
We have many lovely memories. And our daughter Toni ha seven cats and two dogs. They live two minutes away so it's not far to go for a cat cuddle or pooch hugs

I am sat in the bank garden with our two now. We buried both here.

What an amazingly beautiful pair of cats. It's so hard losing them, all you can do is be grateful that you were lucky enough for them to have graced your life - some people never get to be chosen by a cat! Kamu the hob nail boot wearing cat who thinks she is a dog sends you lots of love, hugs and scratchy cat lick kisses xx

Thank you LV & Thank the lovely Kamu from me too.. it's funny because only yesterday our neighbour was saying the exact same about the cats choosing us and not the other way around.
Either way, I'm really glad it happened. Especially with them being house cats and me being stuck indoors so much. They were great company on many a bad day.

Tony, it's so very hard when you lose a pet. They become a member of the family, but you have your memories.
I'm sure Ra had many adventures you haven't told us about yet (hint hint)
    Take care,

    Big sigh Tony......:(

You know you have my sympathy and understanding.

When I lost Eric Catona  If Daisycat hadn't come along (by pure fluke) I don't know what I'd have done.

they add so much to your life don't they?

Thanks Bubba for the piccies of your babies :)

    Love

    Tony,

You already know that I understand only too well what it's like to loose a much loved pet. Reading this post brought back sad memories for me.

I know only too wel why you say you can't take on another cat at the moment and for the immediate future.

I was one of the forum members who avidly devoured the antics of Ra the Supercat and boy, did his antics make me smile!

Take care and know that my thoughts are with you.

Same here Tony. After having to give my babies up to the ex due to housing issues I vowed never to get another cat. It feels like I owe it to their memory. It has been 17 years since I had to hand them over, one went missing straight away and the other lived a long life. He may still be alive but the children were under orders not to tell me when he died as I'd never stop crying.

When our Dad (my OH's father) died a few years ago now we didn't know what to do with his beautiful long haired cat also called Beauty! We couldn't take her because of our bubba he wouldn't stand another cat then one of the neighbours who knew her offered to take her. We introduced her to the neighbour with regular visits and eventually after 4 visits she went straight to the neighbours house when it was meal time and also when she wanted a snooze so then we walked away it was hard for my OH at 1st as he had knew Beauty from a kitten but we knew she had a good home. We asked not to know anything about her once she was settled as it was their cat then not ours. We will never forget her she was a right character and she made sure the whole close knew who she was! Now we have 2 crazy cats who are playing tag round the house as I type!!

This is Charlie. One of Toni's seven cats and my favorite.
    He's lovely. .
Toni asked us if we wanted to take him as he really likes me but we resisted. . Lol
he's just around the corner so not far to visit.
