Unwanted house guests

A couple of weeks ago I looked after my daughter's cat while my daughter was on holiday. The first day I noticed the cat scratching so I gave her a flea treatment.

Unfortunately she had already left me a gift and I now have a number of bites on my legs, off to the pet shop tomorrow to get something to get rid of them.
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

    Our neighbours have 4 cats and they come in our house they are so loveable , but like you I have bites everywhere..they only like me ..my OH gets away with it...the cats have been treated but I have a bowl of water with a little washing up liquid ..and the fleas go in there now, and cant get out because of the soap breaking up the surface of the water..if you get the jist ..it has to be a white bowl..they are attracted to it :o and me

    Thanks for that tip. I will give it a try. I found a can of fly and wasp killer in a kitchen cupboard so I have given the house a spray with that until I can get some flea killer tomorrow. Worked on the basis it wouldn't do any harm.

    Fleas? :shock: Yuk, nasty little beasts they are. I hope you can eradicate them and soon, it's a headache you surely don't need. DD

    I used to be the flea killer in our house and used to drown them in water too Barbara.

    I tried the bowl of water trick but it didn't work. Went to the local pet store today and bought a spray. Hopefully that will see them off. I also bought some antihistamine cream to anoit my legs with.
