has anyone had fluconazole

Hello everyone
my doctor gave me fluconazole for my sore mouth when i came to take it it was powder i phoned the chemist they said you take it as powder.
but on the box it says reconstitute up to the mark with 23mls of water.
i'm going to the chemist tomorrow to check.

    Joan sorry I haven't had this, but you are wise to see the chemist, I do hope it helps your mouth this has gone on for quite a while now...xx

    I don't know about this particular med but the instructions on the box sound correct; you are wise to check and, once you know what to do for sure, I hope it helps. DD

    i took the bottles to the chemist told the pharmacist that the lady said to take the powder.
    it had to have water added the bottle the pharmacist is getting me another bottle for the one i started i thought it funny.

    Right, so you do you have to measure out a dose and then add water? I remember my Mum taking Movicol, that was a powder and she would mix it with lemonade to make it 'taste' better. DD

    I've had this, but it was in capsule form. Hope you succeed in getting it made up.

    Well done, Joan. It just goes to show we must all be careful and vigilant. I hope the pharmacist can sort it for you quickly.
