Has anyone got any ideas

My laptop won't log on to the internet as my tablet is working its obviously nothing to do with provider. I have tried taking the battery out and power supply holding down the power button for 20 seconds putting it all together it looks as though it is going to connect then freezes :shock: it is driving me insane has anyone got any ideas please..........Marie xx

    You haven't accidentally switched the wifi off? I sometimes manage to, it's usually a tiny switch somewhere on the sides. Otherwise is it a security thing?

    Can you hard wire the laptop straight from the modem? At least that way you could see if it is the wireless side of things.
    as LV has said, maybe it is just a setting?

    Thanks Tony never thought of using the Ethernet cable :oops: will give that a try xx

    Tony your a star laptop working with the Ethernet cable, it is funny though my tablet has been working ok. I might give virgin a ring and see what they say. xx
