had a walking weekend

Hi folks.
With the recent osteoporosis diagnosis I am going to try my best to get myself walking a bit more. .
Saturday we went to Fairburn Ings which is about ten miles or a little more away from here and a wonderful place to visit. So along with mum and Janet we set off for a walk. Weather was lovely.
I have no idea how far we walked but it was more than I have done for a while. We went slow and steady and I used a walking stick.
There was wildlife galore to see.. Janet managed to get a couple of real clear photos of the dragonfly that landed on my hand. Beautiful colours indeed.

Sunday we went for a walk during a brief spell of sunshine. There is another lovely walk down by the Leeds/Liverpool canal. Again we took it nice and slow and I used my stick.
I rested yesterday as I was aching a lot as well as the usual pains lol.

Today I did a much shorter walk on the estate. My daughter Toni and her hubby Chris live just around the corner. So I went round there.
Nice and slow.

I am going to try and keep this up. Wish me luck lol

Lovely photos. The dragonfly looks beautiful. Well done on all the walks. Looks like you had some lovely places to visit and stroll around. Not surprised you are feeling tired. Hope the weather keeps fine for you.

We are quite lucky here as we are on the edge of Leeds and it's pretty rural.

I have been resting this morning as I'm in a fair whack of pain. I will try to do the short walk again later today.



PS. Mig, Presley is brilliant. Such a good boy. Ada however is gidiness personified. . Haha

Tony Beautiful photo's you could be a pro-photographer, you could enter some of those into wildlife competitions. The dogs have lovely faces which look like their saying ' I'm a good dog, I didn't eat those sausages!' you can see their characters.
Good for you doing your best to keep mobile for as long as you can, I do try and waddle round the house and garden but if it's going to be a longer outdoors walk I need my wheelchair. I do miss going on walks round nature reserves.

I didn't walk Wednesday. And yesterday I just walked around the shops for an anniversary present for lovely wifey.. 27yrs next Thursday

We are going back to Stockton on Tees today. For the weekends. I'll try get some more photos done
