Are there any amateur artists using this forum?

Hello everyone. I would like to chit chat with other amateur artists I feel sure there must be some out there. None of my friends or relations are interested so painting can be a bit lonely.
Look forward to hearing from you
Cheers Fortuna

I know there have been. I hope some come along soon :)

I love art and would love to do more than I am currently able (fatigue and full time carer for my Son, unfortunately the two do not go well together).

Would you be wanting to talk about favourite artists and paintings? We have a book thread and a gardening thread on here so could do something similar?

    Hi,
I don't really know! Just felt painting may be something sufferers of RA might take up on their 'good' days. Maybe chat about what they are working on and what medium they use. Perhaps post efforts on here for others to enjoy (or not!)
Have to wait and see if there is any interest.

I so envy people who can pick up a pencil and with a few strokes can produce a masterpiece. Mig

I paint watercolours and sometimes dabble in other mediums.
Currently I am obliged to exercise my right wrist, hand and fingers
because of minimal gripping power, so with the grim determination
of a gently ageing grandad I am producing left handed wet into wet
abstract watercolours, and I like some of 'em.

    Hi,
I tried acrylic recently not terribly successfully and have returned to water colour. I find it does help to pass the time when obliged to give other interests.
