icing a cake......ish!

So my lovely partner Alex is 50 tomorrow, so I made a chocolate fudge cake and decided to pipe Happy 50th Birthday Alex on it. Years since I actually piped icing, didn't reckon with no grip to squeeze the bag.....but decided on balance that more salted caramel icing thickly spread on top of the chocolate was a better way to go, oh and I got a candle that said 50 so all good! :D

    Or a slice :wink: Full marks for initiative, poorlypaws. Yes, piping icing is a bit of a no-no for us. You could try picking words out in small cake decorations but I'm sure he'll love it just as it is. Happy Birthday, Alex! I hope you both have a lovely day :D
