Mid-foot arthritis and lump on big toe tendon - any advice?

I had an x-ray of my right foot about two years ago as I had a lot of pain on the top of the foot. This showed OA and an overgrowth of bone which is quite obvious when compared with my other foot. I bought insoles and took paracetamol. This week my foot has become more painful - I'm limping - and I have a very sore small lump on the tendon of the big toe. Wondering if this might be a ganglion. I've made an appointment with the GP, but just wondered if anybody else has experienced mid-foot arthritis and could give me any advice. What with the continuing hip bursitis - even after two steroid injections - which is worse on the right, my arthritic knees and now my right foot I might also ask the GP about pain relief, particularly for the night-time, as I'm finding it difficult to get comfortable and the pain in my hips is waking me up. Still waiting for the physiotherapist appointment, but due to see the orthopaedic consultant again - at some point!

I apologise if this has turned into a moan. :)

Megrose, you don't moan and this isn't one, OK :D

I wish I could help but I gave up on my feet long, long ago. I've no idea what's normal and what isn't. I just know most of mine stick out where they shouldn't. I hope your doc can help – and with the pain relief too.

Thank you, Sticky. I've managed to get a GP appointment for next week.

    Good luck :D
By the way, I see from DD's thread that you can't make the usual flu jab session. Why not try to book one for when you see the doc? I'm hoping to combine my flu jab with my regular blood test but still need to book the latter.
