Flu jab and Blood Test

My GP surgery has arranged for me to have my flu jab half an hour before a blood test to check for inflammatory markers and am now wondering if this is advisable or should they have left a longer gap in between?
The receptionist thought it was a good idea and fitted the tests around me so I only had to attend the once.
Is it possible that the flu jab could distort the blood test or am I worrying unnecessarily?

Hope someone can help.
Have tried to google it without success!

Thanks guys

I doubt it will affect anything in such a short space of time, Hips, so don't worry. It makes perfect sense to pay only one visit to the surgery, that's saving your time which is always a good thing. DD

I always like to get things into as few visits as possible :D I very much doubt there'd be a problem but, to be on the safe side, you could mention it to to whoever is doing your blood test. They might want to use the other arm.

Thank you, that is what I had hoped.
I'm having to go for an X-ray on my painful hip at 4.20 and then back to the hospital again in 6 days time to the breast clinic so I have to get myself fired up to manage what seems like so much all at once.
(Not just me but my daughter who is my Carer is 34 weeks pregnant so has her own appointments to fit in too)

    Thanks again

Ah thank you stickywicket, she is having a problem with her joints ( as I did when pregnant with her) so we are a right pair.
I'm not sure what the neighbours must think with all the " moaning " noises going on in here  but it's just us trying to get up and move around :D

There'll be a lot more moaning once the little one arrives

If my sums are right (and there's no guarantee of that!) I think today was your breast clinic appointment: I hope it went as well as possible. DD

Bless you dreamdaisy so kind of you to remember.

All ok...the breast pain is actually coming from my ribs due to the arthritis!!
The doctor said this is very common in people with arthritis.
No lumps or bumps that shouldn't be there thank goodness.

Yes, thanks stickywicket, MUCH better than the alternative so I'm very happy about that, just concerned really that another area is being affected by this darn thing...would never has thought about my ribs though.

It's more common than you may think: it crops up on here on a fairly regular basis (like so many other things). DD
