Hi all,
Well I have a consultant's appointment tomorrow {Fri} at 11am
I think I mentioned that a few weeks back I had an aspiration on this hip {fractured one} to see if there was any infection in it.
He put the needle in and I thought Oooowwww!!!! that hurt  Thought it but didn't say it. Then out of sheer frustration {still lying on the operating table} I said will this fracture ever heal????? The answer....NO. So I said I'll be on crutches the rest of my life? he said not necessarily you may progress to one.
I decided to leave it at that and let him get on with the aspiration as I knew I would have an appointment in a few weeks time.
So I have got my list ready for tomorrow.....more or less
I doubt that there is any infection in it otherwise he would have had me back in much quicker than this.
Had an X Ray on my ankle at the same time.....the one the car went over and smashed it....about 5/6 years ago. I know it is now OA but its getting sorer. I don't expect anything from that but I've still got all the metal work in so that's why the X Ray.
The main questions are about the healing...or not....as the case may be of this hip
Love
Hileena

The best of luck, Hileena, I am sorry that the fracture possibly won't heal as we would like but I guess there are good reasons for that. :( I won't come with you because I am a poorly girl at the moment but I will be thinking of you and look forward to an update if at all possible. DD

You can pop me in. Hope you get some answers to your questions and some positive news.
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

    Hi Hileena,

I'm so sorry to read about your troubles.

I don't know whether you'll remember me (Daft Bird), as I haven't been on the forum for a while. It sounds like you're well prepared for this appointment and I hope you'll receive all the answers to your questions :)

I shall bring chocolate biscuits, I think.

    Best wishes,
