Has anyone else noticed we seem to have a plethora of consonants logged in today? Currently 'tdcxmgdl20', 'wliwzpjv93', ykkioxem86 and zsplgbqg71
What happened to vowels? Are they becoming a neglected species? Should we organise a flag day for them?

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Perhaps everyone's been watching Only Connect, the missing vowels round. It would be interesting to see if anyone could make a proper sentence by adding vowels in.

I've noticed they've been disappearing from the site daily......the site is obviously suffering from 'regular vowel movements'..... ''Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy''. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)0 -
This is reminiscent of the 'Missing Vowels' round on Only Connect (it's differently known in this household ) Many of my old clientele referred to 'valves and continents' when discussing the 'alphamabet' . Bless 'em. DD
PS. Prefab? Great comment mate! Did you ever read the Great Vowel Shift thread? Some of us had fun with that but in this day-and-age of the forum it won't be allowed.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
