    Thank you all so much for remembering me on my birthday. Thank you Elizabeth for starting this thread. I am touched especially as I do not post much these days. I do look in from time to time though.

    I had a lovely birthday weekend thank you. Our daughter, partner and little Emily born in June this year came over on the Friday lunch time and stayed over so as to be here for my birthday lunch on the Saturday (day before my actual birthday) at an Italian restaurant. Our son, partner and 6 year old Lola joined us along with a couple of friends.Once home again our son produced a birthday cake with one candle and happy birthday was sung to me.

    Sunday I had a lazy morning. Lots of cards to open. In the afternoon I asked hubby if he would prune a tree in the front garden and I would cut up the twigs into the wheelie bin. This we did together and I cooked a roast dinner for us, because I wanted to. I thoroughly enjoyed my day - not everyone's idea of an ideal birthday but it was mine. In fact it was a lovely weekend, all round. In the evening I enjoyed two glasses of prosecco.

    It is Christmas Eve tomorrow, so I wish you a peaceful time and a healthier, happy, interesting and exciting 2015.
