Hi Sue
Did you follow the set up when you first switched it on? If not it might be worth seeing if that needs completing in the settings menu (the grey cogs on the home screen). Failing that, switch it off and on again or plug it into your computer. That sometimes cheers my iphone up. Failing all that I think I'd be tempted to do a factory reset - also in the settings menu.
Hope that helps

Are you able to use it at all Sue? Or is it only when you access certain places on the i pad that you get this message?

Hello Sue. It's lovely to hear from you but I'm sorry I can't help. Happy New Year to you both.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

The only time I have had a not verified message is on paypal because I hadn't connected my bank account details as well as my credit card details .It didn't make any difference to paying for goods, they just wanted more info on me than i was prepared to give.
If the laptop is new then your details may need to be updated.
Are you able to use your email? where does the message come up?

It could mean the person you are emailing is not verifed by google. When you first set up an email address they usually want you to confirm by clicking on a link. It could be that you haven't done this or the recipient hasn't done this when setting up their email.
Hope I have explained that okay?

Have you added your email account to the ipad? It will only automatically work if you have inputted things like the address and password in the email settings (in the grey cogs app).Hey little fighter, things will get brighter0

Sounds like your iCloud password, might be the same as your iTunes one (hint, hint), might need verifying? or your Paypal account, or the subject of an email as the cursor passes the bottom right corner or your email address you use for iCloud.
Take your pick! Wonderful things these computers. I jest but each software manufacturer means something different when they use a word.0 -
Thank you everyone

One thing you can do is to go onto google and or you tube and enter the problem in the search box, make sure you add the model of i pad your using and see what that comes back with. It normally works I have a Mac book pro and have used it a few times to get out of trouble. Also NEVER EVER download any software that doesn't come from the on line apple store, there's a lot of spam sites offering software to speed your mac up, all they do is give you a virus then charge you a lot of money to remove it. If you do want to speed your i pad up there's plenty of apps on the store that will do it for you and they don't cost much.
