Hi
I have got my date for theatre for my epidural spinal injection, next Wednesday (14th). I would appreciate pocket dwellers as I am not looking forward to this. I am really having a lot of lumbar spine pain, stiffness and it is affecting my sleep. In fact I am not really sleeping much at all!!
I have to be there early on Wednesday so early night on Tuesday!
Has anyone had the epidural injections? If so what results did you get?
Thanks x
NB

I've got physio but hope it goes well for you
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

Sorry I can't be around, NB, but I'm being scanned that day. I wish you all the best, though.

    Hi
Thank you everybody for your support.
I hope I get some good results like your ex MIL , Toni.
Sticky, I hope your scan goes well. I`ll be thinking of you x
I am a bit confused as the letter says I will be having a GA. I didn`t have a general anaesthetic when I had the SI joint injections?? I have had spinals before for procedures eg when I had caesarian sections with the kids, and when I had my THRs (but I had a GA too for the THRs!!)
I really hope it works this time as I am getting more and more sleep deprived!
    Thanks again

Hope these went well for you.

I've had spinal injections under a local only. Last lot I should have had under sedation as one was into a nerve and that was horribly painful but for various reasons I couldn't deal with the attendant restrictions that come with a sedation so had to grit my teeth and do deep breathing.

I hope these have a positive effect for you. Make sure you get your rest though, as that's important.

    Take care,
