Too good to be true

I thought I'd wandered into NHS Heaven. As I sat patiently awaiting my scan I heard a lady in front of me saying “Do I have to....?” and then, very clearly, “No. No. He's all ready and waiting for you on the table.”
So I told Mr SW I could manage without him for this appointment and eventually the lovely young Matthew called my name. Alas, he didn't get onto the table with me but he was a kind and gentle scanner who told me he couldn't see anything other than a few gallstones.
 What? I'm here, because of low iron and ferritin, to rule out any bleeding not so that he can find something else to bump up the costs of my travel insurance. Matthew, you disappoint me. Looks aren't everything, I guess.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh dear Sticky. Hope they don't cause too many problems with your travel insurance. He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

Sticky,
I hope the "view" took your mind off the scan. I also hope he had a lovely scrummy 'squeezable' bum.
It's a shame you had a rather mixed initial gut reaction. I sincerely hope your holiday isn't negatively impacted by this scan.
Have a wonderful holiday.
Take care,
Grace
P.S. Tony - we can look and enjoy the view as long as we don't touch. We wimmin can also imagine ...Turn a negative into a positive!0 -
You appear to specialise in finding dishy docs . I am sorry you have another thing to add to the health list and I hope the impact on the insurance won't push the premium too high. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hope the impact on the insurance isn't too bad.
"He's on the table waiting for you " I'm lost for words but if its on prescription !!0 -
Yup, 'dishy docs only' is written into my notes
Right, one down: two 'oscopies' to go on Sat. Our L.A. travel insurance is in serious danger of costing more than the flights :roll:If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Good luck for Sat Sticky lets hope you have another 'dish of the day' to make your appointment say a little more 'flavourable', lets hope nothing else turns up to jeopardise your holiday insurance xxSmile a while and while you smile
smile another smile and soon there
will be miles and miles of smiles
just because you smiled I wish your
day is full of Smiles0 -
But will he fit in your luggage, Sticky? I don't you'll get him through the x-ray, too bad. I guess you'll need your special lead-lined trunk!0

I have visions of him laid gently on his side in a toga with grapes and other fruit discreetly positioned.
Hope the others went OKHey little fighter, things will get brighter0 -
Discretely :? Who needs discretion
Thanks, LV. The others were far less interesting / more boring. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
