I stubbed my toe on the dishwasher (no, not Janet, the machine ) last night.
I know it's absolutely nothing to fret about but I have popped down to A&E seeing as it's literally a minutes drive from where I drop Janet off at work.
I also know there's nothing they can do with a broken toe but I thought it best just to see if it is broken. It has a lovely red lump on it already and a tad sore to touch.
Seen the nurse already. Just waiting to see the doctor.
Aaahhhhh, if only A&E was always this quiet lol.
With my dodgy knees and now this you can all call me toe - knee from now on lol

As I expected. . Waste of time lol.
They said they wouldn't even bother doing am Xray as there is nothing they can do with a broken toe. Thinks I could have a fine fracture.
Lol
Ah well. At least it was very quiet. Apart from the obligatory drunken **** wasting hospital time and resources. People like that need throwing in the river.Me-Tony

Ouch! I bet that hurts, Tony. I have a friend who did something similar - only she ran full pelt into the bedroom and stubbed her toe on the bed. The hospital told her to come back and have it pinned - I think it was broken in two places - but she decided not to bother. Now, when the weather is wet/cold, it is quite sore!
Hope your toe stops hurting and heals well.

You did the sensible thing - what have they advised you to do? I have a friend who broke a smaller toe in two places by tripping over a rug (no osteoporosis troubles) and she has just emerged from six weeks in plaster, hobbling around on crutches. Boy did she moan about that. She now has a air boot and, oddly, is still moaning. Healing and getting better, albeit slowly, is apparently nothing to write home about. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oooh.. Your friend sounds like she needs sooooooooooo much sympathy DD.. Maybe we should have a whip round for some flowers as she's been so brave  :roll:Me-Tony

Ouch! I know it's painful because Mr SW broke his some years back and our 8 yr old grandson broke two toes in December playing footie but both were just strapped up and sent on their way. The little fellow is now back to playing footie. I wish you a similar, speedy outcomeIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thank you both. .
It's not too painful to be honest but the painkillers are being shovelled non the less.. Lol
I must have become used to the Pregablin already as Friday night I was like a zombie and stayed that way till Sunday night.
Was back to the usual not sleeping too well. . The drowsiness has gone lol. I increase the dosage tomorrow to two 75mg twice a day. That'll be fun haha.Me-Tony

Most places don't x-ray toes but some places do, so it's quite ambiguous. Poor you, sore toes are so painful. Take it easy!0

Sounds painful. Hope it gets better soon.He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.
