Hi
I made a new thread as I have no idea why I had that title!!
I had a loooonnnggg wait at Wrightington in a hot sticky waiting room- great! Then I saw the Reg who was very nice, listened to my concerns and my explanations of the pain I am experiencing in my groin. He did a few examinations, and said I would need to see the Consultant. I said I bet he won`t be pleased to see me again, and he said he won`t mind. So in came my surgeon, who had been told I had said he wouldn`t be pleased to see me  and asked if I thought he was an ogre!!
Anyway, he did a thorough examination of my leg/hip/joint etc and thinks my THR is fine and that it is inflammation of the tendon and/or muscle ?? why?? It could be because the cup is sitting a fraction out and is rubbing on the soft tissues but he is sending me for a MRI scan to see where the inflammation is. Once this is done, he will try an injection, but the MRI will tell whether it can be given in clinic or in theatre.
So I will wait for an appointment.
Thanks for your support x
NB

Sounds like a good plan. Let's hope you don't have to wait too long for them to put it into practice
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

    Hi
    Thanks Hileena, Slosh, and Barbara
It was good that I saw the main man, but to be honest he is usually there and will see me even if the Reg sees me first. Back to the waiting game, we should be good at this us `arthur` people but I still get a bit impatient at times, especially when the pain goes up on the scale!
I was a backstage helper for the last time yesterday at my daughters final dance show before she heads off to Uni in September. A very emotional day watching her dance so beautifully, on pointe, something I could never have done! She has made some fantastic friends for life through dance-who knew when I took her for her first ballet lesson aged 3 to try to help with her balance! I am suffering for it today though, it was a long day, 2 shows, lots of time on my feet. So a quiet day with my pain medication and a hot water bottle today.
I will keep my eye out for the postman every day now, and try to think of not getting to anxious re claustrophobia in the MRI scanner

That sounds like a very special day yesterday and even though there is payback now for it you have those wonderful memories to look back on.
