Enjoy. Hope the sun shines for you.He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

Barbara, it was really very good - well worth the money. We opted for the extra night in a hotel, as we felt a morning arrival/late afternoon same-day departure was too 'clashing.`All the travel went very smoothly - glorious sunshine in and out of Newcastle and a nice calm sea. There is a bit of a wait when the ship docks, as they let all the car drivers into their vehicles first. There are coaches waiting as soon as you exit the terminal at Ijmuiden, and into central Amsterdam is about 35 mins. We were dropped at our hotel and picked up there too on the return journey.
We ate at the Seven Seas Restaurant on the ship - wonderful food and service. Breakfast really good too. Cabins were comfortable, if small, but you expect that.
We used the hop-on hop-off bus to see most of the sights, then went back to the ones we wanted. The worst queues were at the Ann Frank house. We did a canal boat tour the next morning, which had a really good commentary and was very relaxing.
Hope this helps. It`s a beautiful city, though very, very busy.0 -

I used my walking sticks, though had to be careful on the cobbles. You can get wheelchair assistance on the ship, I believe. It was the cyclists we had to watch out for - they zoom along the cycle lanes, but sometimes encroach on the paths, & they don't always ring their bells!
The trip left me tired & more than a bit stiff, but I knew that would happen & I have no regrets.0 -
Thats brilliant to know Tezz..that you have no regrets ..sometimes we have to go out of our comfort zone..I will have to give myself a push...glad you enjoyed it so much..Love
