Hi
I am off for my MRI of my hips tomorrow afternoon. I am not looking forward to it as I get terribly claustrophobic, oh and I hate lying on my back for too long due to pain!! I will be asking if I can go in feet first and hope my head is outside the tunnel, but apart from that not sure what else I can do to relax myself. (I have thought of a glass of wine, but thought better of it  )
Any support welcomed x
NB

I'll be thinking about you, NB. I hope it all goes well for you and that the staff take into account your pain and nervousness. Do tell them how you feel.

I've got to have an x-ray tomorrow afternoon to monitor my kidney stone! It's all go, isn't it?

Can you take your own music to listen to? Some hospitals have the capacity to play a cd through the earphones they give you to minimise the noise. They also give you a button to press if you really need to come out of the tunnel. Hope you get through it ok.

I'm a bit late onto this but hopefully not too late.

Thinking of you and hoping all goes to plan.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi
    I am back!!
I told them I was claustrophobic and they were really understanding. I went in feet first and initially my head was outside the tunnel. But she said after the first scan they may need to move me further in to ensure they can see everything they want to see. And yes I did need to go further in  But they told me first before moving me. I was so scared I would be completely in, but it was not too bad. I had headphones on, but unfortunately only one was working, and the music was awful!! Hey ho! I studied the ceiling tiles and tried to make pictures from the pattern, and made mental lists for my holidays!
So it is done now and I wait for an appointment to see the results etc..
Thanks for your support, much appreciated xx

    Hi NB
I bet you are glad that's over.....its good that they were understanding.
I've never gone in feet first before
Let us know the results when you get them
