carer and carer with arthritis!

hi I am a carer and 11weeks post op having had a hip replacement! I also have oa in left hip and both knees! But for the time being I need to live with this as I am too terrified to have another op! I feel low ,not sleeping well! Hubby has been on too many meds for oa chronic on going oa of spine,hips and knees! Also is deaf and severely sighted in both eyes! So its all on my shoulders! Not easy! But I am having regular hydrotherapy and reflexology! Sorry to rant ! Regards Amanda h

    Hello again, Amanda. How is the new THR and is the hydro and reflexology helping?
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    I can assure you that you are not alone in having to care for someone whilst struggling yourself - many of us on here are in similar boats whether it be caring for children, partners, elderly parents or relatives: life trundles on regardless of our health issues. Hopefully your new joint will make life a little easier for you in the long run - you are still in the early days of recovery and there is still some very deep healing to be done. I hope that your pain levels have been significantly reduced, it can be hard to remember what it was like compared to what it might be now! DD
