Had my new stair lift fitted last Tuesday, been getting used to it and I'm so happy, no more taking more than 5 minutes struggling to get up stairs! And now I have the independence to go up and downstairs when I please!

Great news. Did you have a ceremony to "launch " it so to speak?
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Great news, I hope it continues to help. Remember to take the laundry up and down with you. Wait until you get 'small people' in your house. From my experience of watching my great nieces and nephews on my parent's stair lift, the little ones loved it.

I always think it's not until we get a resolution for a problem that we realise how much we were struggling with the issue.

Please don't go getting any speeding tickets. We don't want you getting a "driving ban".

It's been an amazing help and I wished I'd got it sooner rather than struggling. The rugrats are intrigued with it!!

As you might be aware, I am a social worker for people physical disabilities and older people. I cannot tell you how many times I hear people saying similar things. Far from encouraging dependence, these aids give independence and quite often, a new lease of life.

I am genuinely pleased for you. You deserve things to be easier.
