Daily walking 'does not have a negative impact on knee osteoarthritis'
A new study has offered fresh evidence that taking regular walks does not carry any risk for knee osteoarthritis patients of making their condition worse.

My feet are painful to walk, it was one foot now both feet, I am taking shorter strides and walking more slowly because of it. I hope there won't be any problems resulting in my doing short slow walks.

That makes perfect sense, we need to keep as mobile and active as possible for our muscles' sake but it can be difficult to motivate oneself if pain levels are high. I think the key is good, supportive and padded footwear, this reduces the strain on the joints and the impact of foot hitting ground. I find my walking aids enable me to walk in a more upright position and having the little extra support and stability means I can go further. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
