In York. With friends. All needing the loo before setting off for home.
B went into the gents with the muffled, agonised cry of “40p??!!”. T went into the ladies. Mr SW failed to open the disabled one with my RADAR key. So did the male attendant. The female attendant arrived, said a few people had had problems and, at the 3rd attempt, succeeded in opening it. And ushered us both in
We looked at each other. This wasn't quite what we'd intended but I think those dreaded words “40p” were echoing in Mr SW's head. So I turned my back and then he turned his.
I explained to him that the doctor's couch was probably for baby-changing purposes but even I was stumped by the armchair.
Still, he saved 40p

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

How cute are you two .....man and wife and you turn your backs on each other. I'd have invited Mr Legs to look ................for a small charge ...perhaps 40p
Lovely story SW.

I'm good Starburst, thank you for asking Starburst Especially as we're expecting twin grandchildren just after Christmas
I'm going into hospital on Monday for a thumb fusion but I'll start a thread about that when I've been done to help others who might have to have the same procedure. (Sorry for the thread hijack SW  )
Are you well?

Well it's obvious that after all the difficulties inherent in things lavatorial (wardrobe malfunctions, hovering etc) you will be in need of a 'wee' rest, so how thoughtful to provide couch and armchair...0

Made me laugh Sticky and rang a few bells too
At a recent pre-op assessment I was asked to provide the usual MSU. Complicated jug, wipes, container procedure, all completely heat-sealed wrapped and me going for op on useless hands so in we both wheeled into disabled loo.
Before exiting hubby says well it was a long journey, might as well...
Nurse may have wondered what was so funny about a pre-op assessment, specially for a seasoned couple married for 46 years. Sense of humour keeps us sane
Have fun xxx0 -
Glad I could make you all laugh
Legs - No apology needed.
Thumbs up for the fusionIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

This thread has resurrected the lavatorial memories of my double carpal tunnel operation . . . . at least he wasn't in there with me whilst I performed but he had to 'mop up' so to speak . . . . happy days! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
