Pocket duties request...again

As some of you may remember before Christmas I had a bit of a run in, so to speak with HR re sickness absence and the need to set what I felt were unrealistic targets. It was agreed that as I had already requested I would be referred back to OH.
My appointment has come through for this coming Friday afternoon, I am anxious about this and I'm also aware that by Friday afternoon I'm not at me best physically or mentally, though as it's the first week back hopefully I won't be too bad.
The doctor has always be fine before, it's just that I feel more under pressure this time to prove that I am fit for work but need some acknowledgement of my disability in respect of occasional absences.
Comes on top of finding my GP has put my Oxycodone (a synthetic form of morphine also known as "hillbilly heroin" by less savoury members of the community) on my repeat prescription list, rather than seeing me every month to renew it.
Be good to have some of you along and you can have a lift in a newly blinged up Anton!

He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

Oh dear, this is not the best start to 2016 for you, is it? I hope it goes better for you than you fear ( we all know that 'Friday feeling' when we've put in far more effort than others just to get to Friday so what the *(&%^ are they relieved about? :? )
I'll be thinking of you and wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
I'll be there, too, Slosh. I do hope it goes well for you.

Thank you all. At least I don't have long to wait and I can go home after.
At least I will have a better idea of things in regards to work then as before the report is written and agreed at the review.
I suppose I need to think about what could be reasonable targets and anything else that it would be useful to have in the report, with the doctor's agreement of course. He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

I'll be in your pocket Friday! Good luck with everything.0

Thank you both. It was my first day back today...funny how when I 'm not at work I develop a kind of temporary amnesia and forget just how hard/tiring / painful it is. Doesn't take long for me to be reminded. He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

But at least you'll go to your meeting with it very fresh in your mind to underpin your discussions about the reality of your situation. I always used to manage to convince myself that I could cope so much better than I did, then by the end of my 3 day week be in tears of weariness and pain driving home...so much so that my hubby took to driving me to and from work on Fridays so that he knew I'd got there safely :? .
I really hope that you have a positive and supportive meeting that will set things back on track for you.

Last term I managed to timetable Friday afternoon as non-contact time. Hope I can do the same this term.He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

Count me in Slosh. I hope it goes well for you.
If your appointment is early in the afternoon I may have to be sending positive thoughts your way as I have a pre-op appt myself in the morning and I may still be tied up with that. However, I will be thinking of you.
I hope that everything goes well for you and that the OH Specialist is supportive and able to suggest a good way forward for you.
Please let us know how you get on.
Take care,

Hi Slosh, count me in too, I will be thinking of you, hope it goes well.
If you want some light relief on Monday afternoon you could be a fly on the wall at my work. I start back on my phased return on Monday afternoon after 13 weeks of sick leave. (Can't believe it's been 13weeks!).
Hopefully we'll both remember not to overdo things and to call a halt if we're getting to worn out.
Take care and good luck tomorrow

Thank you all, I've been to OH three times before, I saw the nurse the first time and since then the Doctor and one thing that they always comment on is that I want to be at work, rather than a lot of the people they see!
The doctor has always been supportive before, but last time I saw him I was in better shape with the hope that things were going to improve as it was to plan for my return to work post surgery and apart from anything else that was back in the days when all I needed mobility wise was a walking stick!
Oh well, soon be over now, thanks to you all and I will let you know how it goes.He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.
