Hi,
Could I please have pocket duties for Saturday. My knees have decided to join the arthritis party and I have to go for an injection in one knee.
I've had all sorts of injections, back, hip, side etc but never a knee one......doesn't sound very nice :?
Love
Hileena

Hi Hileena I will be in your pocket!! :) When I had an injection in my knee everyone was saying 'it's the worst place to have them, there really painful there' but mine didn't hurt a bit so I think it's more who's doing it not there all really painful. Just think of the relief it will give you after it!!

    Hi Bubba
Thanks. I think it has as much to do with the person doing it as well....also your state of mind when you go in If you go in really worrying and expecting it to be sore its more likely to be sore.
Lots of people tell me how sore it is......but different people have different experiences of things.
As for relief......well it will give me relief if its the correct knee????
Its going into the Left knee which the X Ray shows has arthritis
The right knee shows no arthritis just "non specific" but it is agony so we'll see what the specialist says {not the GP} I'll go by his opinion

And I'll be house-hunting in the Scottish Borders but I hope all goes well. It always did with my knees.

To give it the best chance of working you must rest properly for at least 48 hours, this gives the stuff time to properly sink in around the joint and, hopefully, get to work. My knees were always drained as well as injected so it was a long process for yours truly. The only steroid which really worked for me was injected into my right ankle, that gave three months of ease. I hope it works for you. DD

    Hi DD
    Thanks for the advice.
I have cancelled at few things to make sure I have a chance to rest it.

I will certainly be there. All the ones I have had have been fine, no trouble and not really uncomfortable. I guess it will be depomedrone so that numbs the area at the same time. Take carexx

things we are not sure about are always very worrying, naturally so. I am the worlds worst worrier. It is great that there are so many people here, with similar experiences, to share, encourage and help all of us. XX Aidan
