Most of you will never have heard of him but his wonderful, informed, soothing, Bajan voice gentled many of us through Windies test matches.
To my shame, after hearing him for many seasons, I was amazed to discover he was white. I had thought all West Indians were black :oops:
Apparently, he was in the corner of the commentary box when the Johnners / Aggers 'legover' incident took place. How boringly different things would have been if he'd grabbed the mike and shut them up.
