Scammer on this forum

Beware of any messages from ritabb/ Rita Benson.
This person joined this afternoon and is sending out private messages which are a scam.
Hopefully no-one would be taken in.
Whoever this is is a truly disgusting individual to target users of a site like this.
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

    I've reported them to the Mods but, meanwhile, BEWARE EVERYONE!

    I got one as well ,put in a complaint,should never been allowed to get through makes me want to curse that would soon be stopped. Mig

    I've just had one and reported it. Makes me feel uncomfortable, as if a stranger has walked in through my door and is casing the joint.

    If you go to your inbox on the left and click, it will bring all your messages up.. tick the ones you want to delete and go to the bottom and it will give you the option to delete the marked ones..its a drop down box

    I think we must credit AC with making the forum a spammer-free zone, those of us who have been on here for some time remember the 'good' old days with spam upon spam upon spam (usually on Chit-chat and to do with fitted kitchens) but AC addressed it and very successfully. I had two PMs from the fragrant Miss Benson but deleted them.

    Scammers have no conscience, no moral compass and no compassion. End of.

    I say well done to AC for keeping us as safe as possible but weasels (of all kinds) will always weasel their way in no matter how stout the defences. DD

    All credit to AC. I sent a message via their website and had a message back a couple of hours ago - I hadn't expected to hear anything until office hours tomorrow.

    I got one too. Realised straight away it was a scam. Thank you mod John for dealing with the scammer.

    So the person joined AC and then sent a job lot of the same message to all or some of the members? As they were private messages I doubt the mods would have been aware of any content until notified by AC members.

    I hope there has been enough negative publicity surrounding these type of scams for any AC members not to have been taken in.

    I got one too, that's what brought me back here, I had a notification that I had a private message, thinking someone actually missed me!!
