...... you live in parts of central Lancashire, that is Chorley,
Preston and South Ribble.
Arthritis Care has made its Individual Support Service
available, and it is there for use by anyone with any of
the numerous arthritis conditions.
The service can be delivered either face to face or by
telephone.
For details and further information just contact Gill, the
area co-ordinator on 02073806500 or 07734 238682

Good news indeed for many of those on the dark side of the Pennines, ichabod It's a service that deserves to be well-used and I hope it is. Congratulations to all concerned. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

For those who do it must be. I wish it well and I hope it helps those who live in the area. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I did this about 18 months ago, I think it was a trial run.
I was rang once a week for an hour, well 3 hours really as we did have a lot of laughs.
I think this is the same thing. It was really very good but they could not give advice I needed so my feed back was if some one asks what do you do then the person should be able to answer as though you were talking to a friend etc

Good point James.
The volunteers who deliver this service are not medical people,
whether or not they are in their working capacity. One of the things they can and will do with your agreement is direct you to services which you may find useful. It would then be your decision to take any suggested step. The service is based on self management.0 -
There are now 7 people using the AC support service, and
I would like to remind everyone that this is a free service and
is available to anyone who has any of the many forms of
arthritis.
Unfortunately it is presently only available in these districts
Chorley, Preston and South Ribble, but if the demand is there,
AC hope to extend the coverage.
The contacts details are set out in my first post.0 -

Finally a positive from living under the red rose instead of the white!
Great idea though, really brilliant from the people that run it.0 -

Have you tried the grey tab above labelled 'In My Area'. There might be something on offer. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
