Hi Denise and welcome to the forum.

I have to wear surgical shoes myself but this is a topic which comes up a lot on here. Try this former thread http://tinyurl.com/jcxum6a . Also you might want to ask your GP to refer you to an orthotist for orthotic insoles. They can help a lot.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Denise, welcome to the forum, I am sure you will find it helpful and a good p lace to be. There are so many lovely people here.

I was referred to the specialist Podiatry department - saw the lady who deals with orthotics insoles, etc, all to do with the bones of the feet. She was really nice and helped a lot. As far as I recall I think the physiotherapist referred me - it's a long time ago.

We have a local shop who specialise in shoes that are designed to help with foot problems http://www.shoemed.co.uk/

I find sketchers footwear very comfortable as it's cushioned and they do stretch. Which is good for when my feet swell.
