Happy birthday NHS

Today is the 70th birthday of the NHS.
I can remember my mother telling me what things were like before it was set up if you didn't always have the money to pay for the doctor.
I know we all have our complaints about it from time to time and take it for granted but we are incredibly lucky to have it.
Personally I am having a three day personal "celebration ", GP visit, new diagnosis and referral yesterday, Orths review today and then more blood tests tomorrow.
So happy birthday NHS and heres to the next 70!

He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

The thought of losing the NHS and all its services terrifies me.
