Someone told me about a web site called DuoLingo.
I looked it up and you can learn a language (almost any) from very basic. You learn to write and speak. It gives you help, and it is fun. You can share on line and as you progress you earn "rewards". It is something different to do on those "tired painful Days". Give it a go.
