You don't have to come up the night before but we're staying in a lovely B&B and having a slap up meal. It's too long a drive to do in one day. The appointment with the maxillo facial surgeon is on Tuesday 9th at 10 am. He specialises in RA and jaw joint replacements, so I feel confident in his abilities but still, anxious about the outcome and what the future may hold for me.

I'm in - for the whole trip! I'm not missing out on a stay in a luxury B&B with someone else making me dinner and breakfast!
Hope the appointment goes well.

Of course you're anxious. This is something of a biggie and I think anything to do with the face is a bit scary. I know several people who were terrified of cataract ops despite the enormous success rate of them. Not long to wait and I hope your man is a reassuring presence. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

And me. I really hope it goes well for you.He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

You didn't miss out. We're going later. Actually, we are going in 45 minutes and I'm not ready!
Car snacks? Check. Toothbrush? Check. What else do I need...?0 -
At least two pairs of clean knickers? I am thinking of you. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Which reminds me of my younger son's first, week-long, school trip. He set off with seven pairs of clean undies and arrived back with six. His wife assures me he has matured a little since thenIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
