Urgent MRI scan

Hi
I was telephoned by the hospital today at 12.45pm to go in for an urgent MRI at 2pm. (also to have blood tests). This is after I have had severe pain after the discogram last week.
I rang Mr NB who luckily could come home from work to take me (the perks of being your own boss).
I got into the room and told the radiographer that I get panicky so need to go in feet first and she was happy with that. The good thing was this scanner was a wide bore one and so was less claustrophobic for me. But it was so painful lying on the hard bed. And getting up afterwards was not a pretty sight at all!
I had my bloods taken and came home and took more pills.
I have to go to see the surgeon next Wednesday.
Just as another `good ` thing to find out, when I was measured I have `shrunk`nearly 2 inches!! I new my vertebrae had collapsed, but was shocked to know I am so much smaller!!
If anyone is free for pocket duties on Wednesday morning I would love the company x

I'll be in your pocket on Wednesday, NB. I do hope that they are able to give you some answers and, most importantly, help with your pain. Take care of yourself.

Hi NB
I'll bet that gave you a shock......telephone call and such short notice.
Count me in.......Will you pop into my pocket please....on Friday?
Got the results of my MRI on my knees yesterday and he wants me back on Fri for day surgery......Aspiration to be sent to the lab. Wants to know a bit more about the pain and fluid in my knees.
Love

Wed is my grandson's birthday. We'll be skyping later but morning is fine. I'll be there. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi
Thanks Aidan- that sounds great!
Hileena- I must admit I wasn`t expecting such short notice for the MRI! I can definitely be there with you Friday. I hope it isn`t too painful a procedure.
Sticky- I hope your Grandson has a good birthday! thanks x
I am sleeping better for the last few nights, but the pain starts again as soon as I wake and move. I have finished the Diazepam now so have been feeling less groggy in the day, but have nothing to help with the spasms. To be honest not sure if it did much apart from making me groggy anyway.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine

Keeping my fingers crossed and reporting for pocket dutiesHe did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

Hi NB, how are things now? Has your back eased at all? I wish you well for both appointments and I hope something can be done to make things better. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi
Lynnemarie, thanks for your pocket duties x
DD- It is a little easier as in the muscle spasms aren`t as strong. But the pain is still there. I am managing to sleep a bit more too which helps with my tolerance levels. Thanks x
Thanks again
